The Kaleido proposal encompasses the narrative of change and transformation in each of the neighborhoods adjacent to the underpass. Like a kaleidoscope, these communities shift—each change creates a dynamic and positive iteration. Kaleidoscopes produce changing patterns and forms that go beyond the sum of their parts. For this proposal, icons that mirror and reflect each neighborhood, are given the transformative power of a kaleidoscope. With each rotation, the beautiful patterns evolve endlessly.
